Dr. Daniel G. J. Lane

Dear Patients:

The natural ability of the body to heal, and the miracle of chiropractic is experienced by people everyday. As doctors, we are privileged with the first hand knowledge of this in every patient that we see, however, the manner in which these extraordinary results affects peoples' lives is often profound and ambiguous. At Delmarva Chiropractic, we are assembling this book of testimonials to let others know of their life-changing experiences. Often these are results which have bettered peoples' lives in a variety of ways, whereas other times the results border on miraculous.

We would like to extend to our patients the invitation to add you chiropractic story to our collection, so that others may also see the differences that people have experienced. The opportunity is strictly voluntary, and no personal information need be given if so desired. We simply would like for people to be able to share their stories with other patients, and give a hint of the wonder which we see everyday as doctors, to those who share in the experience of chiropractic.

Thank you for your participation, and take care.

Some Patient Testimonials

Dr. David R. Brown

I am writing to express my sincere gratitude for the impeccable patient-care my wife and I received from Delmarva Chiropractic under your direction. We both came to you after enduring several years of pain and discomfort. After a short time in your care, we are both doing so well.

We were pleased with your knowledge and the level of professional care we received. As importantly, you and your staff understand how important a respectful personal relationship is for patients. A special "Thanks" to your support staff- they are always so courteous and friendly!

Needless to say, we are so thankful to have found you. After six weeks under your care, my back and waist are pain-free- I am able to walk normally instead of dragging my right foot.

We live in Silver Spring, Maryland and drive approximately 2 ½ hours to your office without reservation because we value your professional service. You are the best in your field! It has been wonderful to experience medical care as it is meant to be.

The Aguirre's

I've been treated by Dr. Daniel Lane for going on 2 years. I spent a career in the army as a ranger and parachutist, and my body had accumulated a lot physical trauma characteristic of a soldier's life. I arrived on Dr. Lane's doorstep nearly unable to walk- hunched over, listening hard to the left, and shuffling- in what I call my pretzel look. I had recently sustained a fall, and of course my alpha-male "I can do anything around the house and yard" attitude combined with years of back and neck problems seemed to all catch up with me at once.

On my first visit, Dr. Lane survived the many questions I threw at him; part of my effort to expose the flaws I knew must have existed. Fortunately for me, he acquainted himself not only with an impressive examination, but also with displays of concern, patience, and the ability to listen- all attributes missing on the resumes of most M.D. I've had the misfortune to know. With only a clinical evaluation, Dr. Lane said I had one of the worst double- herniated (L4/L5) set of disks he'd come across. The diagnosis was for a 50% improvement over the next month with 3 treatments a week. Since, I knew I couldn't work, I decided to stay in Salisbury with my parents (I live in N. Virginia), and see Dr. Lane everyday for two weeks (minus weekends).

During my first treatment, he discovered 6 places in my back that were unstable. He couldn't adjust some sections until others had stabilized. But, since I wasn't working, I could devote myself to doing all he asked, progressing from various treatments in the office to very limited exercising after about 4 sessions. After two weeks, I had improved to an estimated 75% improvement-far beyond either of our expectations. I returned to work at half-days for another week, and then back full time. Despite a few set backs, I followed Dr. Lane's orders for exercising and gradually returned to a mostly normal life.

In the beginning, serving up my body for uncomfortable treatments wasn't easy. But, I realized soon, that if I simply trusted Dr. Lane, the treatments were easier, and I never left his office without feeling measurably better when I entered. A few times in the first few months, when I had a specific place that bothered me, I wouldn't tell him. His magical hands would find the spot every time; he's say, "ah, there it is," and adjust the discomfort away. After doing this several times, I told him I'd been testing his abilities and we both had a good laugh. He continues to pass the test every month when my wife and I come for treatment.

I am convinced that Dr. Lane has a special gift that separates him from others in his field- what I call "magical hands." Despite the layers of clothes hiding the trouble spots, he identifies key trouble spots and adjusts the anatomy back into position. Now, through routine visits, I am able to maintain a quality of life I was sure I had lost. Even though it means travelling from the D.C. area periodically, it is always worth the effort.

One Happy Patient

In the year of 1998, I was involved in an automobile accident. I injured my neck and back, which caused excruciating pain. After going to several doctors, and not getting any relief, I became very depressed. Each time I went to the doctor and or hospitals they would prescribe me another prescription. They would also order tests and x-rays. The side effects from the medication were just as bad as the pain and sometimes worse. One day my pain management doctor, Dr. Zorn, introduced me to a psychotherapist pain management doctor, Dr. Brooks. Dr. Brooks counseled me for two years. He then referred me to Dr. Bellas. He performed several test. He then diagnosed me with fibromyalgia. I met back with Dr. Brooks. He told me about the meetings being held at Health South regarding sufferers of fibromyalgia. I attended several meetings. This was where I was able to meet Dr. Daniel Lane. He spoke about fibromyalgia and how to naturally treat the syndrome. He was very knowledgeable about fibro. Later I learned that his mother also suffers from fibromyalgia. Dr. Lane talked about the various symptoms of having fibromyalgia. Having a mother with fibromyalgia he has gone above and beyond searching for treatment for this syndrome. I was so very impressed with Dr. Lane's presentation, that the next week I made an appointment to see him personally. I thank God that I did. After meeting with Dr. Lane, it confirmed that God sent me there. After a few treatments I began to feel better. Dr. Lane has helped me so much from the pain of fibromyalgia. It took me several years to get a diagnosis of fibromyalgia, and several more to find a doctor such as Dr. Lane. He has not only helped me with the pain, but he has one of the best personalities of any doctor I have ever met. He really cares about his patients, not only by what he says but by his actions. Because of all Dr. Lane's treatments I am now able to deal with the pain in a less painful way. I see Dr. Lane every two weeks. He has also helped me with my migraine headaches. I don't get them very often. If you know of anyone that suffers from fibromyalgia, direct them to Delmarva Chiropractic. I guarantee you that your life with fibro will definitely be changed. There is so much more that I could say. If you are suffering from these symptoms: neck pain, back pain, stiffness, fatigue, mood swings, depression, irritability, impaired memory, or excruciating pain, you might just have fibromyalgia. I pray that God will continue to bless Delmarva Chiropractic's staff. And I speak the blessings of God upon everyone that walks through these doors. Thank-you Dr. Lane, Dr. Brown, and all of your awesome staff!

Sincerely,
Gay S. Justice

Dr. Lane and Dr. Brown,

It must be stated up front that I am one of the converted. I looked upon chiropractic procedures as a quasi-science, fringe method of healing, having little to do with "real world" medicine. You gentlemen have clearly demonstrated how those opinions could not have been more wrong. Chiropractic healing, when performed with the expertise found at Delmarva Chiropractic, has not only been helpful to my overall well-being, but it has also become the road to a much improved state of general health.

Since having seen Dr. Lane last spring, my back pain has virtually disappeared and my legs have never felt this strong. After only a handful of sessions, I began to feel strong enough to begin my walking and exercise program again.

On a personal note, I must include a more personal reason for my indebtedness to Delmarva Chiropractic. When I went to Dr. Lane for what I thought was a simple neck adjustment, it turned out my symptoms were more troubling than I thought. Dr. Lane immediately scheduled an MRI and, sure enough, I was in the beginning stages of a stroke. Through Dr. Lane's expertise and commitment to the healing arts, I was saved from a much more serious and debilitating stroke.

My family and I are forever thankful for Dr. Lane's thoughtfulness and expert care. I wanted to write this letter to you, Dr. Lane, to express my deepest appreciation for all that the Delmarva Chiropractic team has done for me. I heartily recommend Delmarva Chiropractic to all I meet!

When I first came to Delmarva Chiropractic, I could barely get there because of excruciating pain in my lower back and both legs. I have spinal stenosis and severe degenerative disk disease, which had also resulted in painful sciatica. I had given up hope of getting better, even though I had been getting epidermal injections for some time, which gave limited relief. I could not lie down on a bed or stand very long. I had been sleeping in a recliner for months.

I was impressed with the compassion and concern shown to me on my first visit. I was in such bad shape that I needed to be seen on a daily bases at first then gradually skip a day between visits. Both Dr. Lane and Dr. Brown were very encouraging and keep telling me to be patient with myself.
Before long I gave up my cane that I had been using for a long time. After about 6 weeks I was able to lie down on my bed for short periods of time. About that time, I was due for my epidural injection and was encouraged by Dr. Brown and Dr. Lane to go ahead and keep my appointment for that injection because they felt that would compliment the treatments I was receiving from them.
Eventually, I "graduated" to coming to their office three times a week and then 2 times. I can now sleep in my bed every night and I have no sciatica symptoms.
I am truly grateful for the skills and knowledge of both of these wonderful doctors. I would truly recommend them as "tops" in their field. I thank them, for "giving me back my life."

Dear Dr. Lane-

I don't know how to express my gratitude to you, not only for the obvious- making me feel less like and old woman!- but more for the genuine concern and caring you have shown for me and my family. I know I have said it before, but it bears repeating-
THANK YOU- for having the most wonderful and amazing office staff.

THANK YOU- for treating me with the patience and respect, and for giving me the benefit of the doubt.

THANK YOU- for understanding that cumulative effects of ever day life can wreak almost as much havoc on the body as a traumatic injury, and for telling your patients that we shouldn't just "suck it up."

I have only seen Dr. Brown so far, but better the two of you I feel like a new person. Thank you so much!

Sincerely,
Tara McMichael

My wife and I have been bringing our son to Delmarva Chiropractic since he was three months old. When we first started bringing him to Dr. Lane, he was suffering from severe acid reflux.

After several appointments, we noticed our son's acid reflux was significantly improving. Eventually, we were able to discontinue his acid reflux medicine and cancel our appointment with a GI specialist due to his acid reflux going away completely. Dr. Lane was very knowledgeable about treatment that was safe and effective for helping our son.

We will continue to use Delmarva Chiropractic for our health needs, as well as our children's. I highly recommend them to anyone, young and old, for their chiropractic services.

I have been a patient of Dr. Kevin McKamey since November 2011. He is treating me for sciatica nerve pain. When I started seeing him, on a pain scale of 1 to 10, I was at least a 10. For the past 30 or 45 days, I would say that on a daily basis, I have been either a 1 or below. Once in a while, it might go to a 2, but with doing stretching exercises, it will go back to a 1 in a short period of time. ;

Overall, I will say that I am very pleased with the results I have seen since starting treatment.
